About the Jellyfish
Our smallest walkers.
Curriculum & Daily Activities
The Jellyfish are part of our Toddler Program. here, they have a great academic program that is geared for their specific development and teaches them in a fun yet challenging way.
During Circle Time, they read 2-3 theme-based storybooks. They practice colors, shapes, numbers, and letters. They also sing songs and do finger plays.
The Jellyfish do daily art activities. This includes both crafts and free art based on their thematic unit. Art time gives them a creative outlet and helps to perfect their fine motor skills. They also have music and movement activities every day.
Some of the concepts that they work on include, but not limited to: socialization, sitting during circle time, art time, eating time, cleaning up after themselves, getting comfortable with the potty, manners, taking turns, and sharing.
Most of their curriculum revolves around a thematic unit that changes with the seasons and holidays.
Environment
At our school, the older toddlers are separated from the younger toddlers. This allows us to cap our group size at 12 and keep their learning environment intimate and less crowded.

Why Scripps Exploring Academy?
By separating our older and younger toddlers at Scripps Exploring Academy, we can keep the group size at 12 and maintain an intimate learning environment. Having the smaller age range in each class allows for the children to build close ties with their peers and improves socialization.
